Detailed Description

People with young onset dementia require community-based services that cater to their specific needs, emphasizing family dynamics, social interaction, and preserving individual identity. The Creative Dementia Research Group project, funded by AHRC, explored the benefits of Neuro Dramatic Play (NDP) as a novel creative art, drama, play and movement method to engage people with young onset dementia in imaginative interactions and meaningful expressions of self. The team will present insights from this project, including recruitment challenges, the significance of a collaborative consultation group involving the dementia community, key data themes, and a strategy for expanding this distinctive approach.
