Detailed Description
During the tour, students will gain first-hand insight into Amazon’s logistics and fulfilment processes, from inbound inventory management and order picking to packaging, sorting, and last-mile distribution. The visit will highlight how advanced technologies such as automation systems, scanning devices, data tracking tools, and warehouse robotics are integrated with human expertise to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
In addition to observing operational workflows, students will develop a deeper understanding of project management principles in practice, including process optimisation, quality control, performance monitoring, and coordination across teams. The trip will also offer valuable exposure to large-scale organisational structures, workplace safety standards, and continuous improvement strategies used in a global supply chain environment.
