Detailed Description

Are you looking for practical ideas of how to support learners with dyslexic-type difficulties?

This twilight session will model how the principles of structured multi-sensory support can be converted into practical activities and resources to reinforce literacy learning in a 1:1 or small group teaching context.  Using this kind of hands-on approach can often help motivate learners who lack confidence and need overlearning opportunities.

Content will include:

·     An overview of principles underpinning effective teaching support for learners with dyslexic-type difficulties

·     Ideas for adapting or designing custom resources to meet the needs of individual learners.

The course tutor has many years’ experience in training specialist dyslexia teachers.

The course is suitable for individuals who support learners with literacy difficulties 1:1 or in small groups.
